Just doing a little work on my PEX water lines, found rental for these items would cost more then this product for a weekend rental. So price is awesome. I haven’t used them a tons but I have done some work around the house and work well and feel study. They actually good tools.

Purchased to cut bicycle cable in the short term and planning a cable railing project in the future. Tool appears to be quite well-engineered and probably the lesser-expensive iCrimp would have been satisfactory if all I intended to do with it was cut bicycle cable. It does the latter exceedingly well. A few bucks more is worth it to me to have a tool that can cut larger cable if needed. I don’t spend a lot of time cutting cable, but at this price point, I can afford to have the right tool for the job. Hopefully this tool will last a long time.

My boiler was acting funny, the boiler repair man came, said I needed $500 repair. I sent him away, I didnt agree. I spoke to several professionals,. and determined the issue was a $20 check valve issue. The repair would have been very expensive, and soldering pipes in this area would have been a nightmare. I used this tool, made a 15 minute repair, and the boiler is working perfectly. Its a heavy tool, and it takes strength to use, but it paid for itself- twice, in 15 minutes on the first day I owned it.

I am “building” a Whole House Water treating system and “went back and forth” between going from a PEX main to a CPVC set up to a full PEX set up. I then “went back and forth” between going copper crimp rings and stainless cinch rings. After MUCH research and personal experience, I (comfortably) decided on the stainless steel cinch rings and more specifically, this tool… A much better value then a copper ring crimping tool set . Secondly, it is easier to remove the stainless steel rings if one needs to. In what I am doing, I primarily am working with 1″ piping and a little 1/2″. This tool is a good quality for the price.

This product was great, the price was right as well. I found when cutting the ring of the pex, one cut on one side of the ring, and again on the opposite side, the ring cut very well. However, the fitting would not come out of the pipe well. I put a part of the cut ring back on the pipe and cut it again on a spot 1/4 round off one of the prior cuts and it worked to pop the fitting right out of the pipe. why that works, I don’t know but it does.
